How Urine is Produced? How it removes from our body?
Kidneys are bean-shaped organs which help in filtering out nitrogenous wastes such as urea or uric acid from the blood. The capillary cluster in the kidney is associated with the cup-shaped end of a coiled tube called Bowman's Capsule that collects the filtrate. Each kidney has large numbers of filtration units called nephrons packed close together which selectively reabsorbed some substances such as glucose, amino acids, salts and a major amount of water. It depends on the presence of excess water in the body and dissolved waste for excreting. Finally Ureters carry the urine which connects the kidneys with the urinary bladder. Urine is stored in the bladder and when the bladder is expanded, the pressure leads to the urge to pass it out through the urethra. As bladder is muscular, it is under the control of our nervous system.
